Mix 1 heaped tsp of detox mask with 1 tsp of water or apple cider vinegar and blend in a separate bowl to form a paste. Apply to armpit using back of tsp, mask brush or fingers. Relax for 10-15 minutes then remove with a warm cloth or in the shower.

When making the switch to natural deodorant use the mask every day for 7-14 days. Once you’ve initially detoxed use the mask once per week for maximum benefits.

Note: 1 tsp is approx. 2grams, 60g bottle contains approx. 30 applications.

Is it meant to dry or stay wet?
It's meant to be wet, simply add 1tsp of apple cider vinegar or water with 1tsp of powder and mix to form a paste

Is it meant to be a thick or thin paste?
It's a thick paste.

Do I need to wash my pits of deodorant before applying mask?
No, it's not necessary.

Can I put Deodorant on straight after detox mask?
We recommend letting the skin breathe and detox prior to applying deodorant. It's best to do a mask of a night and then you can apply deodorant in the evening.

Should I moisturize after mask?
No, we don't want to add any other products onto the armpit, the point of the detox mask is to detoxify the armpit area, the armpit needs to be free from products so it can detox.

Can my children use?
Studies show that children are now sweating earlier due to daily exposure to the toxins in food and traditional personal care products. We would definitely recommend getting them started with a pit detox.

Is Detox My Pits pregnancy safe?
Safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. All quantities of essential oils are well below the required amounts deemed safe to use whilst pregnant and breastfeeding. We do recommend a patch test as you may be more sensitive when pregnant.

Why water or apple cider?
This activates the ingredients in the mask and allows you to smoothly apply this to your underarms.

Why is it important to Detox my underarm?
Toxins accumulate in the underarm over time as a result of diet, stress, and pollutants. Furthermore, we frequently introduce new chemicals into the skin, such as aluminium and metal ions. This build-up is not only unsettling, but it frequently results in skin imperfections and a long, difficult transition to natural deodorant.

I’m already using a natural deodorant, should I still use the Detox mask?
Yes, it's a simple addition to your weekly beauty routine that helps rid the area of daily pollutants and toxins while beautifying the underarm skin.

How often should I use the Detox mask?
We recommend using it daily for 7-14 days and then weekly after the initial detox period.

How long does it take for armpits to detox?
Because everyone is different, the amount of time will vary. It takes about one week for me to notice less odor and sweating. However, be patient! It is entirely natural for it to take longer.

Can you wear natural deodorant whilst detoxing?
Sure! Choose our Axilla Deodorant Paste that does not contain any artificial fragrances, heavy metals, or endocrine-disrupting ingredients such as parabens or phthalates.

I’ve been using natural deodorant for years, should I do another pit detox?
Giving your armpits a break and resetting your body's baseline couldn't hurt. After a quick detox, you might even discover that your natural deodorant works better.

I haven’t experienced any issues with sweating or my deodorant, do I need to detox anyway?
It's a good idea to do it if you want to switch to natural deodorant.

Is it normal to experience a little soreness during an armpit detox?
Only you know your body. I have experienced mild armpit breakouts during past detoxes that have come on quickly and disappeared in a couple of days, most likely as a result of changing my routine and sweating more than usual. But if you’re experiencing intense pain, swelling, or a rash that just won’t go away, it’s best to consult a doctor.
