1) Why aren’t you a roll on or stick?

We made Axilla Deodorant Paste as a paste because we wanted to keep our product as clean and nasty free as possible! For a natural deodorant to stay in stick form and not melt or crumble, it needs hardeners and fillers. These ingredients don't have any remedial value so we decided to keep them out! Axilla is a paste so you apply it just like a moisturiser.

Now we know not all of you feel comfortable applying a paste directly into your armpits or find the paste gets under your nails so that’s why we now have a Natural Deodorant Bamboo Applicator available now.

2) Is it an antiperspirant?

What’s the difference, anyway? At first glance, deodorants and antiperspirants seem practically the same, but they actually have different purposes. Deodorant aims to neutralize odour by targeting the bacteria that cause it, while antiperspirant stops the armpits from sweating.

Antiperspirants - Antiperspirants actually block sweat glands in the armpits there by stopping the body from sweating and eliminating toxins thru this way. Sweating is actually good for you!

Deodorant - Traditional deodorant helps control body odor rather than restricting sweat production. Deodorant helps eliminate the bacteria on the skin to stop unpleasant odors escaping from the underarms.

Axilla Deodorant Paste is an effective natural deodorant. It’s free from harmful aluminium salts and sweat blockers. The paste is made using natural and certified organic ingredients to keep your skin fresh without loading your body with harsh chemicals. It is not an anti-perspirant which actually stops you from sweating as it's an important function of the body. Your sweat glands help control your body temperature and work tirelessly to expel harmful toxins from your body through perspiration.

Sweating helps the body achieve equilibrium, regulate temperature, and expel toxins that have made their way into your system. Not sweating at all isn’t normal or healthy. 3) What's the difference between Original and Barrier Booster?

The main difference between these two products is that Axilla Deodorant Paste Original (our original formula) contains sodium bicarbonate and Axilla Deodorant Paste Barrier Booster (our sensitive formula) does not.

Our Axilla Deodorant Paste Original formula was Australia’s first, all natural, toxic free paste! This award winning deodorant is made with pure essential oils and botanical extracts combined into our own remedial formula to get rid of smelly odours while not harming your body and maintaining freshness. The sodium bicarbonate in Axilla Deodorant Paste Original is a potent natural ingredient that is very effective at neutralising odour, however some people are extra sensitive to the salt-like nature of baking soda. Please patch test the product first if you have any concerns.

Axilla Deodorant Paste Barrier Booster has been specially formulated for those with sensitive skin or people who react to sodium bicarbonate deodorants, however we didn't just remove the bicarb! We added other remedies that not only neutralise odour they absorb moisture and replenish skin tissue, it actually soothes and strengthens the skin. Plus it has all the odour busting strength of Axilla Deodorant Paste Original.

Barrier Booster is rich in lipids and fatty acids, (essential for healthy cells) which means it helps to improve your skin’s ability to protect it from things that may cause irritation! We’ve added Candelilla Wax - rich in nutrients and easily absorbed creating an instant barrier to prevent chemicals irritating the skin. Magnesium; an antibacterial that calms as it lowers cortisol levels and improves cellular processes - which is effective at detoxifying the skin and treating sensitive skin areas. And Diatomaceous Earth which is almost perfectly pH neutral, meaning it won’t irritate the skin that is sensitive to acidic or alkaline levels, and is rich in silica and highly antimicrobial, which is why it works so well!

Both deodorants contain our proprietary blend of essential oils that have a cooling effect whilst delivering antibacterial, anti-fungal and antiseptic properties. This helps to keep you feeling fresh and neutralise odour. Plus both are vegan friendly and made with love in Australia.
